Mixing In Pro tools is a good book from Course Technology Cengage Learning, Brian Smithers. This book has developing me to understanding how to mixing and using in pro tools. And I need more books about Pro tools, such as Beginner to Advanced Mastering in Pro tools, and also Beginner to Advanced how to using plug-ins in Pro tools.

You must have some sort of practical basic experience with Pro Tools to be able to use this book. Some ideas are presented clearly, however, others need more explanation in simpler terms. Because of this, I lost interest in some chapters and felt like I was sitting in a college lecture sitting there “lost”. I would not recommend this book for older teens or anyone just entering the audio field.

This book is very useful and is 90% hands-on with the CD included having Pro Tools sessions for all examples.
All examples are easily accessed, being set up with Pro Tools markers. It is worth the money!

Overall, great resource. If you’re new to the world of recording and Pro Tools this book will help demystify mixing. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about mixing in the Pro Tools world
