Although I have enjoyed this author’s other books and I was eagerly awaiting this one, somehow I didn’t get into it like all the previous books on this series, I had a hard time reading it and finished it cause I wanted to see the end. Maybe next book.

After reading HUNGER LIKE NO OTHER and having to wait years for Lucia’s story just to get a boring read…it is just sickening. The previews for the next book is just plain stupid your going to but hoods over immortals heads like that is going to stop them. It reeks to much of her dear friend Gena Showalter where there going to round up characters just to fight them to the death like in Showalter’s Vampire Bride which was another book that was so boring I just gave up on it. Really…find another book to read this one just stunk to high heavens.

well, i really love this author and i usually can’t put her stuff down but, this one was just okay i didn’t feel the passion between the two characters like with all the other books by her but if you like this author and this series you should read it anyway.

After seeing glimpses of Garreth protecting Lucia the “never-miss” archer, it is nice to finally see them get their story and what a story it is. After leading him on a merry and sexy chase he gets his gal and then some. Ms. Cole has always done a superb job of holding all her plot ties together and this book is not expception. She lost her way a bit with Cadeon book but it is nice to see her back in form. Can’t wait for the next one.

Pleasure of a Dark Prince is Kresley Cole’s latest installation in her Immortal After Dark series. Even though I rated this particular book poorly , I still recommend the series and this book since it moves along the storyline.
Cole does the genre well, with excellently written scenes, and discriptions (the latter part of the book in the Amazon was amazing!) What I didn’t like were the main characters and their romance.
The female lead Lucia was extremely indecisive, and I felt that she was rather childish. She was attracted to the hero, however she kept her major secrets from him and instead of trying to work things out she spends a great portion of the book running from him and causing minor disasters to thwart him. I mean when I was in kindergarten that was cool and all, but to me that was just plain silly.
Now I get in a romance we need to have some tension, but would it have really hurt to have a plain conversation? I was very turned off at Lucia’s actions to certain events (example after the first time she and Garetth were together).
The hero was excellent and he put up with a lot of nonsense from the heroine. Usually I find it distracting to read an accent, however his was kinda hot :p
I apologize for the vagueness of this review, however I don’t want to give away the specifics of the storyline. All in all the IAD series is a great one. I think with all series, there comes a point where as a reader you just dont get what the author is trying to acheive and I think this may be it for me
