AT&T Commercial – Bangs
In this High Speed Internet spot, we open on a dad sitting on a couch surfing the web. His face is covered by his computer. His daughter enters in a hurry to ask her father a question. We see a close up of the dad and notice that his whole appearance a la a new hair style and a hoodie are not very “dad” like…rather he’s styled in the trends of a cool 15-year old. The Father is simply trying to relate to his daughter and show her that he’s up to speed…because of everything that he’s learned from searching the Internet. He’s even video chatting with her boyfriend. Though the dad is sincere, the humor in the spot is derived from his cluelessness, a very relatable moment amongst parents and their children.
