Very dissopointed a lot is missing from this book, it is very hard to follow.

I have been buying this book since its very first edition. Although the ilife suite has added significant new features in version’s 5 and 6, they are berely covered here. For example, iMovie’s addition of styles, a major new development is covered in just 2 pages – a third of which is text explaining the feature! Also, this book is priced as if it had a DVD (it is the same price as the other editions with the DVD), even though the DVD is missing in action. The author’s own 5 star rating is especially pathetic. Even worse, Heid promised “new” sections to the companion web site a year ago for Garageband [hello, Garageband has been part of ilife for OVER 2 YEARS !!!] and iWeb, and the pages still say “coming soon!”. This book needs a major overhaul to continue to be effective.

WHERE IS MY TUTORIAL DVD?????? I have the previous 2 editions of iLife and was very exited with the new ’06 edition. My order was placed in April and was received in June. I am very dissapointed with this new edition because the Tutorial DVD included with the previous editions was not found in the new edition received. Accordingly a claim was placed with Amazom because the book received do not include the DVD. The book is still a good resource if you are new to iLife, but if you have previous edition with their DVDs, probably there is no much new info you can have. Hope next edition(s)(????) will include the tutorial DVD again.

My friend kept telling me to get I life book, she had ’05 and it had the CD with it, which she loved.
I dont feel this ’06 goes into enough depth for me. Maybe my ignorance…. it is not able to keep me wanting to use it..

THIS BOOK IS WELL ILLUSTRATED AND WRITTEN IN AN EASILY ASSIMILLATED STYLE. EVERYONE USING ANY AND ALL OF THE ILIFE PROGRAMS SHOULD HAVE A COPY.
